Network Rail Delivery Plan Includes West Anglia Routes' Projects

In late March Network Rail announced their Delivery Plan for Control Period 4 (to 2013/14) which included various West Anglia projects:
- Longer platforms on stations from Cheshunt to Cambridge and Stansted, along with power supply enhancements, to allow 12 car operation to start in December 2011.
- Station improvements at Seven Sisters to accommodate additional passengers and new track to allow a Cheshunt shuttle in peak hours.
- Station improvements at: Bishops Stortford, Waltham Cross and Wood Street with Access for All upgrades at: Audley End, Tottenham Hale and Walthamstow Central.
This was broadly in line with expectations which means, to alleviate existing crowding and accommodate predicted growth, further investment is required, particularly for inner suburban services.
