Department for Transport Rolling Stock Plan

The Department for Transport announced their Rolling Stock Plan for allocating the 1,300 carriages committed in the HLOS. In a statement, the West Anglia Routes Group welcomed the initial increase of 188 extra carriages on the Liverpool Street lines (probably around 120 on the West Anglia Routes) but highlighted concerns about:

The timing of the delivery of any new carriages.

New carriages only seeming to be committed to Stansted services.

Cascaded stock not being immediately fit for purpose.
